Malik Obama, our current US President’s half-brother, step-brother, or whatever they wish to call themselves. Many of the left name him Barack’s half-brother. Indeed, the Huffington Post lists about a half dozen articles calling in Obama’s half-brother.
Last year he tried to win over the governor in Kenya. He failed in his run for office, and Malik has visited his ‘brother’ more than once. There are even pictures all over the internet of the two at the White House.
Now, what’s wrong with this, nothing much unless Malik has ties to groups like hamas. He has been Executive Secretary of the Islamic Da’wa Organization (IDO), a group created by a group which the US lists as a terrorist organization. Malik has also been seen with Yusuf Al-Qaradawi, who has stated Hitler did not finish the job of eradicating the Jews.
This is a person who is part of the President’s family, and who has visited the White House. Barack has tried to put some distance, claiming they were not close, but even Malik has denied that claim in a GQ interview:
“Of course we’re close! I’m the one who brought him here to Kogelo in 1988! I thought it was important for him to come home and see from whence his family came—you know, his roots.”
