CDC Director on Ebola

CDC Director , Tom Frieden, has come out with a new quote about Ebola, we must rethink it.

“We have to rethink the way we address Ebola infection control because even a single infection is unacceptable. It doesn’t change the fact that we know how Ebola spreads — It does change, substantially, how we approach it.”

Its an ironic statement considering the event so the past couple of weeks.

A second confirmed case of Ebola, and the first person infected here in the USA came from someone who was treating the first patient from Africa.  The first person travelled here knowing he had the disease and now has passed it to a second person.

It is sad when Frieden says its ‘unacceptable’ for a single infection, yet did nothing to help stop the spread to the USA.

Indeed in a world where we have WHO stating that there are 10,000 new cases of Ebola a week, the Democratic party is doing a full court press to blame the outbreak on Republicans.  They state we would have a cure for Ebola if funding hadn’t been cut, yet they ignore the millions that was spend on worthless studies which could have gone to this cure.

Yes Mr. Frieden, it is time the USA rethink its position on Ebola, but its the democrats who must do it, and quickly.  It not something to take lightly, and must be treated with respect.  It will not distinguish between race, sex, gay or straight, atheist or religious, or even liberal or conservative.  Ebola is not going to be Politically Correct, it will look for any weakness you give it.

Its time to remember an old phrase:

An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

Its too bad the democrats want to go the pound of cure way.
