New York Mayor Bill de Blasio has made another comment about how and where New Yorkers should go eat. This time his target is a company called Chick-fil-A over the views of the CEO.
“Chick-fil-A is anti-LGBT,” he said. “This group imparts a strong anti-LGBT message by forcing their employees and volunteers to adhere to a policy that prohibits same-sex love. It is outrageous that Chick-fil-A is quietly spreading its message of hate by funding these types of organizations.”
All of this despite the fact there isn’t a single instance where Chick-fil-A has denied service, or even employment to people in the LGBT crowd.
In fact one can find comments from people who worked with gay/lesbian people in Chick-fil-A. I’ve gone to the restaurant with gay/lesbian people before all of this was even known.
Yes, the CEO is Christian, and due to that its closed on Sundays. However that same attitude focuses the company on service.
I have yet to enter any Chick-fil-A and see a sign on the door saying ‘LGBT groups not welcome’, or anything like that.
The company treats its customers better than many places I go to, like Jack-in-the-Box, or even Taco Bell. Place I don’t go anymore due to poor customer service.
Honestly, if the CEO was muslim and saying it won’t serve pork and no should eat it, the liberals would be praising him (despite the fact islam isn’t kind to the LGBT group either).
The only reason the left is attacking Chick-fil-A is due to an opinion by the CEO which doesn’t reflect the company policies. Then again, liberals cannot distinguish actions by a person and actions by a company.
