In his speech last night, which was telecast on select networks, and avoided the mainstream networks, Obama\u00a0seemed to say he will enact amnesty with an executive order.\u00a0 But let’s go back in time.<\/p>\n
July of 2008:<\/p>\n
\u201cI fought with you in the Senate for comprehensive immigration reform. And I will make it a top priority in my first year as President.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
I guess top priority means it will take 6 years before he gets around to doing anything, including a surge of illegals over the summer of 2014.<\/p>\n
Or November 2013 to a heckler:<\/p>\n
“The easy way out is to try to yell and pretend like I can do something by violating our laws,” Obama told the man. “And what I’m proposing is the harder path, which is to use our democratic processes to achieve the same goal that you want to achieve. But it won’t be as easy as just shouting.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
But now to Obama it does seem like its that easy, after all, he has a pen and a phone.<\/p>\n
Or how about July 2011:<\/p>\n
“I know some people want me to bypass Congress and change the laws on my own.\u00a0 But that’s not how our system works.\u00a0 That’s now how our democracy functions.\u00a0 That’s not how our Constitution is written.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
Yet he will ignore the Constitution simple because he, and other democrats, have do not know how to work with Republicans on this issue.<\/p>\n
These are but a few quotes about how Obama was going to work.\u00a0 But now with the American people speaking out against his signature immigration stand, amnesty, he’s changing his tune.<\/p>\n
Its so sad that the far left democrats are applauding this action never understanding the implementations for the future and what future leaders might do using that same authority now given to the President by them.\u00a0 They have sacrificed the future of freedom and democracy for their own selfish goals.<\/p>\n
The question they, and Obama, do not wish to address, because they know the truth, is the amnesty path does not solve the solution.\u00a0 And democrats have already proven that they will not work later on to solve the problem.<\/p>\n
Its time we get reform, but not at the expense of our future with an executive order.<\/p>\n
