Monday night Attorney General Eric Holder was on CNN’s ‘The Lead’ and talked about several things.\u00a0 One thing that struck some as odd, was when he spoke about his biggest failure.<\/p>\n
\u201cI think the inability to pass reasonable gun safety laws after the Newtown massacre is, for me, something that I take personally as a failure, and something that I think we as a society should take as a failure.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
<\/p>\n
It is strange that the man entrusted to uphold\u00a0the laws of the United States makes such a\u00a0political comment.\u00a0 He was never entrusted to make, write, or pass any law, that is the job of\u00a0Congress.<\/p>\n
Perhaps this is why Holder is seen by many as a failure, he was trying to\u00a0pass legislation rather than upholding it.<\/p>\n
It is a bit ironic that he states this as his biggest failure, especially after the disastrous Fast & Furious which had the State Department selling guns to criminals and the subsequent cover up.\u00a0 It only shows that the position has become source of political power of the President to push his agenda at the expense of the US citizen.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
