In a shock to the liberal world actress and singer Raven-Symone\u00a0made a statement to Oprah that is something everyone should be applauding.\u00a0 Instead, it left the leftwing Oprah struggling in shock and close to verbally attacking the actress for her opinion.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m tired of being labeled. I\u2019m an American. I\u2019m not an African-American; I\u2019m an American,\u201d Raven said.<\/p>\n
That comment sparked a surprising reaction from Oprah, she almost sounded like she wanted her fans to attack Raven for expressing a comment about not labeling people.\u00a0 Indeed Oprah mentioned twitter and how it would lit up from Raven’s comment.<\/p>\n
Raven went on, stating, \u201cWhat I really mean by that is I\u2019m an American. That\u2019s what I really mean. I have darker skin. I have a nice, interesting grade of hair. I connect with caucasian. I connect with Asian. I connect with black. I connect with Indian. I connect with each culture.\u201d<\/p>\n
It appears that Raven gets it while Oprah and many on the left do not.\u00a0 Indeed, may liberals did not like the fact Raven swept aside race.\u00a0 They view her as a traitor.<\/p>\n
The sad fact is, she is being progressive in her thinking.\u00a0 Yes, being an individual is being different, we are all different with many ‘labels’.\u00a0 But labels are not the good thing the left wants you to believe.<\/p>\n
Its ironic that the very left who are proud to label blacks in the USA as African-American, do not wish to label other groups, like muslims.\u00a0 They refuse, as they do most often, to acknowledge that everything has a dark side.\u00a0 Labels have a much worse, detrimental dark side to our society which leads to things like Ferguson, and more racial divide.<\/p>\n
As long as the left continues to use labels, racism will never go away.<\/p>\n
