Ezekiel Emanuel, one of the architects of the messed up Obamacare fiasco hurting democrats came out with an article recently.\u00a0 Its titled, ‘Why I Hope to Die at 75’<\/a>, and shows how much a person like him knows about science, but how little he knows about living.<\/p>\n

He states that living too long is a ‘loss’.\u00a0 He goes on to say that as we age, people have different experiences, and “We are no longer remembered as vibrant and engaged but as feeble, ineffectual, even pathetic.”<\/p>\n

His article then goes on to many ‘scientific’ reasons why we should die at 75, and not live longer.\u00a0 But, like many people like him, he misses the point of life.\u00a0 Its to live.\u00a0 There is no reason why a person cannot be creative in their 80s like they were in their 20s.\u00a0<\/p>\n

I know many elderly people who love to write stories in their 80s.\u00a0 I even knew a gentleman in his 90s in a writing group I was a part of years ago.\u00a0 He write some of the best short stories.\u00a0 But according to Emanuel, with all his scientific\u00a0knowledge, no one should be creative past 75.<\/p>\n

Life does not follow a basic path as science suggests it does.\u00a0 There are generalities, but there are also many, many exceptions along the path of life.\u00a0 However, this doesn’t fit in with a socialist vision of life which is controlled at every twist and turn.<\/p>\n

Both my grandparents lived beyond 80, both were active.\u00a0 My grandmother was part of a quilting group for years.\u00a0 She enjoyed watching TV.\u00a0 Both of them enjoyed playing games with their grandkids, a memory each of us has.\u00a0 But we would not have if Emanuel’s wish had come true decades ago.<\/p>\n

OF course, if he had this type thought 100 years ago, the age would probably be younger, maybe 55 or 65.\u00a0 He is missing that we are living longer, healthier, and more active.\u00a0 But his ideals are one that puts a limit on that.\u00a0 He doesn’t want a person to push for a longer life.<\/p>\n

He is an architect of Obamacare, and his thoughts are of conformity for everyone.\u00a0 The one size fits everyone.\u00a0 He fails to understand that one size dooms many who are the exception.<\/p>\n

I think he would have enjoyed living in the world created by William F. Nolan and George Clayton Johnson when they wrote the novel, ‘Logan’s Run’.\u00a0 After all, that society is one is wants, an age limit.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
