Welcome to a new year.<\/p>\n
2018!<\/p>\n
And so we say good-by to 2017, the year of the snowflake.\u00a0 The year of crybabies complaining ‘he’s not my President’.\u00a0 The year that mainstream media showed how biased they are.<\/p>\n
I don’t expect the media to lightening up on their all out blitz on reporting bad news about President Trump.\u00a0 If anything I expect even more of the same.<\/p>\n
I expect to constantly hear how bad the economy is, no matter what.\u00a0 And that the tax bill was bad, again, no matter what.<\/p>\n
Will the stock market continue to rise, I have no idea, I’m not an economist and even those who are are not accurate.\u00a0 I do know, it goes up and goes down.<\/p>\n
What I do expect, is bad news from the media about it no matter what.\u00a0 They will continue to say its going to crash.\u00a0 History shows it will, but when, no one really knows for sure.<\/p>\n
If I listened to mainstream media last year, I would have been paranoid about this year.\u00a0 War, economic collapse, the end of democracy, a President who is Hitler.\u00a0 And yet, this hasn’t happened.\u00a0 Of course, if one screams something long enough it will happen, or people will perceive it to happen.<\/p>\n
Personally I’m not going to make any predictions about the new year.\u00a0 I’ll take one day at a time, and try to live each day to the fullest I can, after all, its all I can do.\u00a0 There is a great poem about this:<\/p>\n

When I was a young man, I wanted to change the world.<\/p>\n
I found it was difficult to change the world, so I tried to change my nation.<\/p>\n
When I found I couldn’t change the nation, I began to focus on my town. I couldn’t change the town and as an older man, I tried to change my family.<\/p>\n
Now, as an old man, I realize the only thing I can change is myself, and suddenly I realize that if long ago I had changed myself, I could have made an impact on my family. My family and I could have made an impact on our town. Their impact could have changed the nation and I could indeed have changed the world.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
The idea is simple.\u00a0 Don’t try to change those around you, show them.\u00a0 Actions speak louder than words.\u00a0 Make that your mantra for 2018.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
