A bill signed into law on Monday in California by Governor Brown has made the words Husband and Wife illegal. Yep, illegal.\u00a0 Don’t believe it,\u00a0read\u00a0the text of the bill for yourself: SB 1306<\/a>. \u00a0Here are the first two paragraphs of the bill:<\/p>\n

An existing provision of the California Constitution, which has been held unenforceable, states that only marriage between a man and a woman is valid or recognized in this state. An existing statutory provision likewise provides that only marriage between a man and a woman is valid or recognized in this state.<\/div>\n
This bill would repeal that statutory provision.<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n

<\/span>Here the lawmakers are already trying to restructure marriage to fit their view.\u00a0 But they go even further a few paragraphs later.<\/p>\n

The bill would delete references to \u201chusband\u201d or \u201cwife\u201d in the Family Code and would instead refer to a \u201cspouse,\u201d and would make other related changes.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Delete husband or wife and make it a generic name. Why does everything in today’s society have to be generic?\u00a0 We’ve lost our creativity and this shows.\u00a0 Many don’t have problems with a male marrying a male, or a female marrying a female, but this extreme will not help their crusade to be recognized as equals. I think, in the long run, such actions by misguided democrats will harm more than help.\u00a0 After all, what if a woman wishes to refer to her female partner as her wife? Guess democrat Mark Leno or Governor Brown never thought about that.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
